Copy and Paste

Copyright has become a growing issue over the internet over the years. Many people whether it is music, papers, pictures, animations, and etc. content will be copied by someone or reused. You see people all the time use quotes and excerpts from different content. People who make their own YouTube videos normally include some kind of music to go with it, that is most likely not their own work. Same can be said for most students when it comes to paper, we will include quotes from other people that really stick out to us. In a Prezi  presentation we looked at, it goes over just how we can use other people’s work, music, and other content somewhat freely. By following some of rules and guidelines in this Prezi presentation you should be able to use most content without worrying about copyright laws hitting you where it hurts! One of the simple things you could do to avoid this is to cite just where you are getting your copied or altered work from so you are giving that person the credit or partial credit for the work you are using.
YES,YOU CAN use that copyrighted work!

    I agree with your post. Copyright can be an issue if your not following certain guidelines. Just like the example you gave about youtube. If people are using content in their videos that's not theirs can have their video be taken down if they give credit to the original author or say that they don't own the content. So just like you said as long as people give credit to the original owner then copyright shouldn't be an issue.

    I agree with what you said in your post. One of the most important lesson you will learn in school is how to cite. Plagiarism is a big issue that schools takes very seriously. So it is very important to know how to cite properly so you can avoid trouble. There are also many forms to cite in including APA, MLA, and Chicago style. Learning all these forms can be very difficult but will be rewarding in the long run. Especially in college because not all professors will ask for papers to be written and cited in the same form.

You will always find toxic players regardless of the game you decide to play. In the article "Can a video game company tame toxic behavior?"(Link) they use the game League of Legends as the game they monitored the toxicity seeing the game as well over 60 million players. Media just keeps evolving!

No matter what type of media is it, it just continues to evolve. One thing that is the same no matter what kind of evolution takes place in media is that the older media or traditional media which consisted of television broadcast, radio's, newspapers, books, and magazines. With these traditional forms of media, it was able to create the stable of what we call social media today.
